How We Began.  When Alonzo Russell founded A. L. Russell & Associates, his vision focused on helping business owners understand the process of working on their business as opposed to working in their business.  Many business owners excel at what they do in their business but don’t understand how to truly run their business.  Alonzo has been extremely successful in working with business owners to reduce business failures.

How We’ve Changed.  Then, one day, Alonzo read a CNN article that reported a startling fact:  nearly HALF of doctors surveyed would leave medicine.  The main reason?  They’re overwhelmed with their practices — not because they have too many patients, but because running the business side of the practice is too difficult.

The article inspired Alonzo to a new vision:  concentrate on coaching practitioners in the healthcare industry to achieve effective, successful operation of the nonclinical side of their practices.  So in 2008, A. L. Russell & Associates turned its focus to working with healthcare-related practices.

Our Team Approach.  To carry out his vision, Alonzo assembled a highly skilled and educated TEAM of diverse backgrounds and expertise:  a medical doctor, a medical financial expert (billing, coding, recovery), and masters in Finance and Marketing, Human Resources, Communication, Executive Management, and Business Coaching.

At A. L. Russell & Associates, our unique team approach helps medical practices become successful medical businesses.  Unlike traditional consulting firms, we take a business coaching approach, in which we work side by side with your management and staff.  Together, we develop clear, concise systems and procedures that are easy to follow and easy to adapt to each phase of your business growth cycle.  We’re with you until your practice reaches a state of success.

Chamber of Commerce Award.  In changing our focus to healthcare-related coaching in 2008, A. L. Russell & Associates continued to perform so well that we were awarded the 2009 Rookie of the Year award by the Gilbert (Arizona) Chamber of Commerce.  The award recognizes a business that celebrated its one-year anniversary within the last year, experienced a year of sales/market growth, met its first-year goals outlined in its business plan, and provides a unique service or product.  We thank the Gilbert Chamber for that recognition.
